This book is a story from the life of a migrant worker. The novel is by Francisco Jimenez based on his journey from Mexico to the United States of America. The book is narrated by the child's point of view. The kids name was Francisco, but they called him Panchito. Him and his family would move from one location to an other to harvest crops in the United States. The family includes the mom , the dad, the brother named Roberto and his younger brother Trampita. They've got big dreams for what lies ahead of them. They worked on picking up cotton, strawberries, and grapes. Panchito went through two experiences. He went to school in the U.S, but he only spoke Spanish. He struggled a lot in school such as learning and understanding a new language and fighting with a bully. He also experienced his baby brother getting sick to the point where he was dying. Luckily he survived. They go through adventures along the way.
